In this post, you will find 5 exceptional recipes for winter teas, all based on aromatic black tea. However, before we delve into the culinary journey, it’s worth starting with a few key tips on preparing tea that will add magic to every cup on cold days.
All ingredients in the recipes have been adjusted for preparing tea in a standard mug with a capacity of 250 ml.
Valuable tips
We can use black tea either loose or in a tea bag. It’s important to remember to pour boiling water over it and steep for about 3-4 minutes. Oversteeping black tea for too long can disrupt the harmony of taste and aroma of added spices.

If you don’t have a cinnamon stick, you can use ground cinnamon. In that case, add a pinch of cinnamon to the tea cup.
However, it’s important to note that the aroma from a cinnamon stick infuses into the tea gradually. If you don’t want cinnamon to dominate the entire flavor, you should remove it from the hot tea after a few minutes.
By adding slices of fresh ginger to tea, it’s not necessary to peel it. However, if you prefer to remove the skin, instead of cutting it off, you can gently scrape it off with a spoon or a knife.
Nevertheless, it’s worth slicing or grating the ginger slices finely to extract the full aroma hidden in the root.

Before adding a vanilla pod to tea, it should be split lengthwise, and the delicate seeds should be scraped out. It is these seeds that give the beverage its unique aroma.
Remember! After removing all the seeds from the vanilla pod, don’t discard it! Place it in a jar and cover it with sugar; this way, you’ll obtain vanilla sugar.
We can use fresh apples or dried ones for tea. Dried apples will impart more aroma to the tea.

When using ready-made dried cranberries, it’s important to remember that they often contain added sugar. If, however, you plan to add fresh cranberries to your tea, you should cut them beforehand to release their aroma and flavor.
